At the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association (DMFA), we work to ensure everyone has equal access to career growth and learning opportunities, regardless of age, race, gender, religion, disability, nationality, economic background, or personal identity.

Through our programming, we drive meaningful discussions, advocate systemic change, and amplify diverse fundraising professionals’ voices. As an addition to our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, we’re excited to introduce our new website accessibility tool.

Introducing DMFA’s Accessibility Tool

Our newly launched accessibility tool is a powerful step forward in ensuring our platform is accessible to everyone. With this tool, we aim to break down barriers and create a more inclusive space for our members. Here are some key features of this tool:

  1. Screen Reader Compatibility & Keyboard Navigation

Our platform is now fully compatible with screen readers, making it easier for visually impaired members to navigate and engage with our content. For members who rely on keyboard navigation, we’ve optimized our platform to ensure that every feature and function is easily accessible without needing a mouse or touchpad.

  1. Adjustable Text

We understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to reading. Our tool enables users to adjust text size and spacing to suit their individual needs, providing a customized reading experience.

  1. High Contrast Mode

To assist members with visual impairments or sensitivities, we’ve implemented a high-contrast mode that makes reading and navigating our website easier. This mode enhances visibility and reduces eye strain.

Tailoring the Experience: Accessibility Profiles

In addition to these features, we are excited to introduce accessibility profiles. Accessibility profiles allow our members to create customized settings that align with their needs—including Seizure Safe, Visually Impaired, or ADHD-friendly profiles.

How to Access the DMFA Accessibility Tool

Getting started with our accessibility tool is easy! Simply visit our website and look for the orange icon in the bottom right corner. Clicking on this button will open a menu with various options for customizing your browsing experience.

Join Us in Embracing Inclusivity

Launching our accessibility tool is just one step in our ongoing journey toward fostering diversity and inclusion within the DMFA community. We invite all our members to explore these new features and provide us with feedback to help us improve and refine our accessibility efforts.
