Awards
The DMFA offers numerous opportunities to recognize the remarkable efforts of fundraisers supporting important causes, while fostering growth and learning across the industry. Here are the keyways we celebrate and support excellence in fundraising:
THE DMFA Awards
The prestigious DMFA Awards give members the opportunity to showcase their very best direct mail, multi-channel and digital fundraising efforts. Three winners in each of these categories will be selected by a panel of prestigious judges and displayed at the DMFA AWARDS Celebration each June. One event attendee from each member company will choose the final winner. Winners are highlighted throughout the year by the DMFA.
Marketer of the Year Award
They are dedicated professionals who help non-profit fundraising organizations grow their member base, donor contributions and revenue to provide the essential resources for organizations to fulfill their missions. Too often the scale of these efforts is under-appreciated. That’s why in 2002, the DMFA created the Marketer of the Year Award as a way to honor a member with the greatest marketing achievement in the past year.
THE DMFA Spark Award
The DMFA Spark Award is an exciting new accolade that celebrates emerging leaders in the direct marketing fundraising field. Designed for those with less than five years of experience, it honors individuals who have made significant contributions through innovative projects or volunteer work. Whether new to the industry or transitioning from another field, these rising stars are shaping the future of nonprofit fundraising. The DMFA is committed to recognizing professionals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring this award is inclusive of various identity markers.
Professional Development Fund
The DMFA believes that when any one of us becomes a better fundraiser, it helps lift up our peers as well. That’s why the DMFA Professional Development Fund was created—to help fundraisers, and those starting in fundraising as a career, pursue education by subsidizing some of their costs. With a $10,000 annual funding pool, the DMFA expects to award more than 20 individual stipends each year and applications can be submitted for amounts of $50-$1,000.
